The Negaunee Housing Commission at Lakeview Apartments:

  • does NOT accept MSHDA/ Section 8 vouchers (NHC is not currently part of the MSHDA/Section 8 program; please visit: THE OFFICIAL MSHDA LISTING to find a MSHDA housing provider)

  • does NOT offer a level of care (we are not a Nursing Home, we're Independent Living)

  • does NOT operate as Family Housing (as we only have one-bedrooms, we cannot have tenants with children due to occupancy HUD guidelines)

  • does NOT allow marijuana/THC/cannabis on its property (this is due to the NHC being a federally funded and maintained public housing commission under HUD)

RESIDENT NOTICE: IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY POSITIVE FOR THE COVID-19 VIRUS, PLEASE PRACTICE QUARANTINING PROCEDURES AND USE MASKS (TWO CLOTH OR DISPOSABLE OR ONE FILTRATION MASK EX: N-95) & SOCIAL DISTANCING.

DO NOT LOITER IN PUBLIC AREAS, ESPECIALLY DURING HIGH-FOOT-TRAFFIC TIMES, IF YOU ARE POSITIVE FOR COVID-19.

WE ARE AN ENCLOSED COMMUNITY WHICH HAS A LARGE AMOUNT OF PUBLIC SPACE (HALLWAYS, ETC.) AND AN OUTBREAK OF COVID-19 CAN EASILY BECOME AN EPIDEMIC IN THIS BUILDING.

MANY OF OUR RESIDENTS HAVE SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES THAT COULD RESULT IN EXTREMELY SEVERE COMPLICATIONS IF COVID-19 IS CONTRACTED (INCLUDING DEATH).

PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF THE HEALTH & SAFETY OF YOUR NEIGHBORS (AS IS OUTLINED IN YOUR LEASE) AND FOLLOW SAFETY PROTOCOLS IF YOU ARE POSITIVE FOR COVID-19!

Lakeview Apartments has eighty plus residents, each with their own personality. From time to time problems may arise. It is our hope that most incidents can be resolved between residents themselves. If that is not the case, a resident can complete this form. If you choose to file a complaint, please fill in the information below. Be specific. This form will be automatically emailed to the NHC LV office.

  1. Copies of most recent photo ID, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate (or equivalent record); Medicare or Medicaid Cards (if applicable).

  2. Financial Statements, Records of Assets, Funeral Contracts, Life Insurance Policies (please provide copies).

  3. Proof of Social Security/ Pension, Proof of Other Income, Amount of SSI Received, Amount of Food Stamps Received. If over 62, you can have medical out-of-pocket costs deducted from income.
